Grenade Launcher - Launches a grenade that detonates a few seconds later or when an enemy nears
Missile Barrage - Launches five missiles in quick succession in a cone in front of Doomshell
Drone - Deploys a rear drone activating near an enemy and exploding a few seconds later
Proximity Rocket - Launches rocket that burrows into the ground detonating when enemies near
Fusion Blade - Swings a massive energy blade that deals significant damage to an enemy
Plasma Blade - Swing a cold energy blade slowing enemies impacted and doing light damage
Charge - Sprints around obstacles to target location stunning the first foe impacted
Enrage - Channels energy to increase both damage and movement speed temporarily
Alpha Burst - Fires radiation dealing low damage but stealing movement speed from enemy
Gamma Beam - Emits a cone shaped beam damaging foes and pulling foes toward Geiger
Radiate - Emits strong radiation damaging and lifestealing the health of nearby foes
Leap - Jumps to the target location stunning nearby enemies on impact
Flame Throwser - Blasts a deadly cone of fire damaging all enemies caught in the flames
Inferno Rocket - Fires a missile that bursts into a lave field at the impacted location
Afterburn - Dashes forward in a straight line leaving a lava field trail behind Inferno
Fire Shield - Engulfs self in a fire shield damaging nearby foes & absorbing damage
Photon Pulse - Emits a pulse of photon energy inflicting light damage at moderate range
Heat Seeker - Fires a heat seeking missile curving to find foes dealing AoE damage on impact
Energy Wall - Places an energy wall that obstructs enemies and speeds ally projectiles
Teleport - Dematerializes and rematerializes Phaze at a target location instantly
Ripsaw - Swings a giant spinning saw blade hacking at enemies causing huge damage
Chain Hook - Hooks enemies pulling them near or hooks structures pulling Buzzsaw away
Whirling Blades - Activates four spinning saw blades circling Buzzsaw and damaging nearby foes
Shackles - Launches chains forward seeking and ensnaring the first foe in the path
Machine gun - Fires a high caliber machine gun rapidly riddling foes with holes
Death Ray - Fires a long range beam with such power that it even blasts through structures
M50 Mortar - Fires a long range M500 Mortar exploding on impact damaging nearby foes
Rocket Jump - Activates a jetpack to quickly propel Sharpshot to a target location
Super Heavy - Huge attack smash brawler - Being the biggest and heaviest fighter on the field has its clear advantages. Any time Brutus gets into a fight he can be sure that not only do his hits trump most others if he comes in contact with them he also will deal much more damage and knock enemies back much further than his foes.
He does best when he outright ignores enemy defenses and charges straight at the enemy. This is true even more so when you consider that any hits that he has to trade with the enemy hurt his foes more than they can hurt him. The only drawback to Brutus is that he is slow and being so heavy his jump isn’t nearly as high as other characters. This means that other characters can run away from him. That said, if an enemy is running away they aren’t attacking.
Heavy - Balanced hard hitter - Golem V is exceptionally well balanced and a counter to many other characters. At close range his X combo attacks hit hard enough to strike fear into his enemies. Golem’s Y attacks have a fantastic knockback that allows him to knock foes out with relative ease.
Golem’s special attack is a charged ranged attack that can help to force enemies into action. If they choose to stay still he can cause huge damage. Alternatively, if his enemy jumps in the air or moves on him to attack he has fantastic options to punish them with.
Light - Aerial assault combo expert - Hoppah is a grasshopper and as such his specials revolve around jumping. He has an extra jump built into his special attack. Additionally, he is the only character with an extra aerial attack while in the air which allows him to catch other characters in the air
As a light class fighter, he has a speed advantage and attack quickness compared to most other characters. Hoppah’s Down Y attack is also unique. While most other characters move straight down into a ground smash, Hoppah on the other hand does a downward attack at 45 degrees which allows him to attack characters that are standing on the ground from an aerial position better than any other character.
Medium - Balanced Assault with high damage spacing - Johnson is another one of the most well rounded characters in the game. He has balanced damage, speed, and attack speed. He has high kill potential with his charged Y attacks and his X attacks can create high damage scenarios as well as anyone else in the game.
What really sets Johnson apart is his ability to get extremely high damage on his enemies by using his laser rifle special attack (B attack). It has three shots each doing very high damage. If used correctly every fight can start in his favor. Johnson can get the damage high on his enemies by blasting them with his rifle at range before he even engages in close combat. After a few rounds of this, Johnson can deliver a strong charge Y to knockout his opponent. If Johnson is more damaged than his opponent he should instead take the time to use his rifle so that the engagement is in his favor.
Heavy - Big hit brawler - Of all of the fighters in Rift Heros, King is THE in your face brawler. While he is a Heavy class character his attacks come out on the quickly and with damage that is hard to beat.
When playing as King one should make sure that every attack hits. While his damage is better than most of the other characters his ability to follow up on all of his hard hitting attacks isn’t quite as good. This isn’t too much of a weakness when considering that King can knock enemies out of the battlefield extremely well.
King’s special attack (B attack) is Tail Whip which is fantastic at knocking enemies high into the air with a great deal of disable. This allows King to set up his upward combos very well in addition to having a good chance to outright kill opponents with his special attack.
Light - Balanced character with an emphasis on speed and distancing - Leela is one of the three most well rounded characters in the game. All of her attacks are reasonable in strength and her movement is fast.
Leela really begins to shine with the strength of her blaster pistol. Her blaster pistol (B button) may fire at enemies before they come in range of attacks. Using this as a harassment tool is invaluable to her skillset. Leela forces enemies into lose - lose options by shooting them at range with her blaster pistol until they move in close where she has a speed advantage over most other characters. Overall her attacks come out much faster than any other character which is excellent for hitting the heavier characters before they land their harder hitting attacks on her.
Medium - Classic assault with great spacing tools - Silissk is right in the middle as far as attack strength and speed. This well roundedness provides him with the ability to go toe to toe with any fighter on the battlefield without worrying too much about the matchup. One strength that he has over any other fighter is that his X combo attacks have much more reach than most other fighters so he is able to stack up damage on opponents faster than other fighters. After he gains a damage advantage getting knockout hits (fully charged Forward Y or Up Y) is the name of the game.
Finally, Silissk’s special attack is a cobra sting which hurls himself in the air at a forward 45 degree angle. The cobra sting attack actually has two different kick attacks as he pivots. The first attack has more base knockback while the second attack has more kill potential on foes with higher damage percentage. Lastly. this special attack can create space between Silissk and his enemies.
Super Light - Highly evasive aerial control expert - Zevo is unique not only in her moves but the fact that she falls slower than any other character in the game. This allows her to perform aerial combo moves easier than anyone else. Furthermore, she recovers better better than other characters while in the air because she can float back onto platforms.
Her running X and Y attacks both move her further horizontally than any other character in the game; however, her hits are softer than other characters. Her special attack is a sharp upward spiral that puts her high above the battlefield this allows her to hit characters that are far above her with ease and also to reposition out of a sticky situation easily by using her special attack and then floating to a more desireable location.
